About me.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working in private practice since 2018. I specialize in working with adults and older teens (14+) who struggle with depression, anxiety, communication problems, and stress related issues. I work well with people who have loved ones struggling with addiction or partners/couples who are going through infidelity and communication issues, women whose husbands travel, military families, challenging teens and teens who struggle to ‘fit in,’ as well as their parents.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University with my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and earned my bachelor of arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University.
Gaining insight into who we are, where we come from, and where we want to go is a lifelong process. Sometimes we get to the point where stress and negative emotions are overwhelming us and we need help.
Many of the problems I can help with are issues I have been through personally. My husband has been in the military since before we got married and we have been through several overseas deployments, my brother is in recovery from addiction, and I am a child of divorce. I am fortunate to have landed in a career that promotes self-care, reflection, and struggling well despite all the things that can throw us off track. I believe that gaining awareness and the ability to view our struggle as an opportunity for growth is vital in living a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.
I provide a comfortable and casual environment for you to work through problems and take control of your life, which will allow you to lead yourself in the direction you want to go in your relationships, and career. Choosing a counselor is a major decision and I am delighted that you have landed on my site!
